Esztergom, Hungary / Štúrovo, Slovakia .... and a Basilica to behold!

We arrived by train to the city of Esztergom and we walked extensively around the city. Esztergom is located in northern Hungary, it lies in  on the bank of the river Danube, which forms the border with Slovakia via the bridge that you can see in the pictures.

It was well worth the time to visit but we were exhausted after a very long enjoyable day. Upon arriving to our apartment the first thing we did was to turn on the air conditioning, lo and behold, it wouldn't turn on and neither would anything else... the electricity had been cut off by the electric company. So without electrical service for a day so we had to improvise... dinner was interesting as we had already prepared chicken primavera, so we had it cold in a sandwich by candlelight and it was delicious. You really feel lost without power, Ce and I were saying that the only thing more inconvenient would be to have no water.

We'll talk soon.
