The Islands of Venice

We went out to visit a couple of the Islands of Venice (Murano, where they make all the glass, and Burano, the lace and fishing Island) and what lovely Islands they are, especially Burano.

We met a lovely couple from Florida, Bob and Nancy, and we spent the day together... and what a fun day it was... I think we wore them out walking around Venice and the Islands. I think if they spent a week with us they would be fit as fiddles.

We have moved on now and are in a small town in Austria called Obdach, it is like something straight out of a Novel, so spotlessly clean and quaint that you ask yourself, does anybody live here? The place we are staying in is a 400 year old hotel and it is so beautiful as are the people that own it... more about this in our next blog.

We are moving on to Vienna today, we have an apartment booked for three nights so we can have some home cooked food... Ce carries around our spices and I constantly ask her: how's my little cupboard doing?

Have fun with the pictures.

Bob and Nancy, hope you got back safely.
